What you'll need

Use fresh lemon juice and organic honey for the best detox effect.

  • Water1 cup
  • Fresh lemon juice1 tbsp (½ lemon)
  • Honey (optional)1 tsp
  • Green tea leaves / bag1 tsp or 1 bag
  • Fresh ginger (grated)½ tsp
  • Mint leaves (optional)3–4 leaves

Method

Boil water

In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a gentle boil.

Add green tea and ginger

Turn off the heat. Add green tea leaves or a tea bag along with grated ginger. Steep for 2–3 minutes.

Strain and mix

Strain the tea into a cup. Add fresh lemon juice and honey (if desired). Stir well.

Serve

Enjoy warm, preferably on an empty stomach in the morning or after meals.
